Have you accepted a low offer or received a payment?
You may be Entitled to MORE MONEY!
A public adjuster is an insurance professional who works for a policy holder to help negotiate and settle an insurance claim. The public adjuster helps policy holders determine how much money should be awarded to them when they make a claim. When an insurance claim is filed the insurance company will send out their adjusters to determine the value of the damage and the appropriate amount to pay to the claimant. The insurance adjuster that they send works on behalf of the insurance company. Their job is to gather information about claims and to come up with the proposed repairs and the cost of these repairs. Policy holders who file a claim and receive a proposed settlement from their insurer that they see as unfair can hire a public adjuster to fight for a better offer on their behalf.
Insurance companies are supposed to be fair when they make an assesment of the amount that should be paid out for a claim. Unfortunately Insurance companies can deny a claim or make an offer that is too low to the policy holder for a number of reasons that may be unclear or unexpected by the policy holder. The most common complaint that consumers have with their insurance providers according to The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is regarding an unsatisfactory claim amounts or denial of claim. Filing an insurance claim is often directly preceded by a traumatic event in your life. So the last thing you need is a fight with your insurance company to get a fair payout. That is why it is important for the policy holder to understand their rights and know the steps that should be taken to get a fair insurance assessment and payment from their provider. If the amount that you are offered is not what you believe you deserve according to your policy, you should consider consulting with a public adjuster who can fight for you.
